Teach engaging IT lessons across KS3-KS4, covering digital literacy, coding, programming, web design, MS Office, touch typing and KS4 IT user skills.

Deliver a second subject (PE, Maths or Humanities preferred) based on school needs and your strengths.

Responsibilities

  • Adapt teaching to meet the needs of Pupils with SEMH, SEND and EHCPs.
  • Use trauma-informed, relational and restorative approaches to support learning and behaviour.
  • Assess, track and report on pupil progress to drive achievement.
  • Provide daily pastoral support as a Form Tutor, building strong, positive relationships with pupils.
  • Monitor attendance, wellbeing and behaviour, and liaise with families and professionals.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and pastoral teams to promote emotional regulation, resilience and self-esteem.
  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive school culture, attend CPD and uphold safeguarding responsibilities.
  • Engage with whole-school initiatives and curriculum development.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree.
  • Experience working with SEN and/or SEMH pupils.
  • Strong behaviour management skills rooted in consistency and empathy.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice.
  • Experience teaching PE, Maths or Humanities.
  • Experience delivering vocational or functional IT qualifications.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed or restorative approaches.
  • Experience as a Form Tutor or in a pastoral role.
