Do you want to be part of something genuinely transformational, helping to shape a school, not just join one? We are on an exciting journey of improvement as a specialist SEMH provision, set in a beautiful location on the edge of Dartmoor. Our vision is bold: to create an innovative, nurturing curriculum that blends a primary and nurture-based approach into Year 7 and beyond, providing the consistency, relationships, and care our young people need to re-engage with learning and succeed.

We are seeking driven, reflective, and passionate classroom practitioners for both Primary and Secondary as a teacher of English and PSHE, who wants to make a real difference. This is a unique opportunity to teach within small groups, where relationships come first and teaching can be truly responsive, creative, and individualised.

You will play a key role in shaping and delivering an engaging curriculum across primary phases as well as English and PSHE, supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, alongside additional needs such as ADHD, ASD, and communication difficulties. All pupils have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), allowing you to work holistically and make a lasting impact.

This role offers far more than a standard teaching post. As part of a growing and ambitious school, expanding from 80 to 100 pupils over the coming years, you will have genuine opportunities to influence the direction of the curriculum, contribute to building the identity of the school, and progress professionally as the provision develops. With strong support from a forward-thinking Senior Leadership Team, you will be encouraged to innovate, take risks, and refine your practice.

At the heart of our work is a commitment to building self-esteem, confidence, and positive relationships, ensuring every young person leaves us equipped for success in adult life. We are looking to appoint a driven, enthusiastic and dedicated classroom practitioner. If you are motivated by purpose, excited by innovation, and want to be part of building something truly special, we would love to hear from you.

We care deeply about the children in our schools and work with kindness, compassion, manners and respect.
