UK | Construction & Infrastructure | Project-Led Sales
Are you an experienced construction sales professional who knows how to win projects, influence key decision-makers and build relationships across the supply chain?
We're working with an established and growing business supplying eco-friendly and sustainable building products into major construction, civil engineering and infrastructure projects across the UK.
This is a genuine project-led Area Sales Manager role where you'll be working with some of the biggest names in the industry.
- What you'll be doing
- Targeting Tier 1 contractors including Kier, Balfour Beatty and Costain.
- Building strong relationships with civil engineers and project stakeholders.
- Using Barbour ABI to identify new projects and get involved early.
- Developing opportunities from initial project identification through to sale. Working with subcontractors and groundworkers to convert projects into orders.
- Managing and growing a strong project pipeline across your area.
- Working with merchants and specialist distributors although this is a smaller part of the role.
- Taking ownership of your area, developing existing accounts and winning new business.
We're looking for someone who is
- Experienced in construction, civils, infrastructure or building products
- Comfortable selling into Tier 1 contractors and civil engineering businesses
- Experienced in project-led sales rather than purely transactional selling
- Confident influencing multiple stakeholders across a project
- Commercially driven, proactive and hungry to win
- Strong at building long-term relationships
- Familiar with project intelligence tools such as Barbour ABI - advantageous but not essential
- Competitive Basic salary that is flexible dependent on experience
