Join us as a Teacher: Empower Futures! We are a specialist Alternative Provision provider based in the Tees Valley, supporting secondary-aged pupils who require a personalised and nurturing approach to education. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a dedicated and resilient Maths Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher with strong subject knowledge and excellent behaviour management skills.

What are we looking for from you?

  • Engagement Skills: Ability to engage learners and support their ambitions. To bring fresh ideas and creativity to the classroom and outside it.
  • Emotional Support: Passionate about making a positive impact on students' lives.
  • Academic Background: Degree in a Relevant Teaching Subject, equivalent for SEN (desirable).
  • Core Teaching Qualifications: Teaching Qualification in (QTS/QTLS) or be willing to work towards it.
  • Specialist Teaching Qualification: Desirable Experience: Have worked in a school environment. Particularly, experience in secondary school would be an added advantage.
  • Teaching Subjects: English, Maths, and Science Proficiency, a minimum of grade 4/C or higher.
  • Knowledge: Have an understanding of alternative provision and dealing with students with special needs.
  • Problem-Solving: Aptitude for solving problems and making effective decisions.
  • Communication: Professional communication with students and staff.
  • Promotion of Values: Commitment to promoting equality, diversity, safeguarding, wellbeing, and British values.
  • Time Management: Effective time management for planning, delivery, and assessment.
