Join us as a Maths Teacher: Empower Futures! The successful candidate will take a lead role in the delivery and development of Mathematics across the school, while also teaching a small number of additional subjects in line with the school's curriculum model. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an ambitious teacher who is keen to influence curriculum development, contribute to whole-school improvement, and support the continued growth of the provision.
In addition, the successful candidate will lead a vocational afternoon programme, with the specific area of responsibility to be agreed following interview, taking into account the candidate's experience, interests, and strengths. This provides a unique opportunity to help shape an engaging and relevant curriculum that supports pupils' personal development, aspirations, and future destinations.
What are we looking for from you?
- Engagement Skills: Ability to engage learners and support their ambitions. To bring fresh ideas and creativity to the classroom and outside it.
- Emotional Support: Passionate about making a positive impact on students' lives.
- Academic Background: Degree in a Relevant Teaching Subject, equivalent for SEN (desirable).
- Core Teaching Qualifications: Teaching Qualification in (QTS/QTLS) or be willing to work towards it.
- Specialist Teaching Qualification: (Desirable Experience: Have worked in a school environment. Particularly, experience in secondary school would be an added advantage.)
- Teaching Subjects: English, Maths, and Science Proficiency, a minimum of grade 4/C or higher.
- Knowledge: Have an understanding of alternative provision and dealing with students with special needs.
- Problem-Solving: Aptitude for solving problems and making effective decisions.
- Communication: Professional communication with students and staff.
- Promotion of Values: Commitment to promoting equality, diversity, safeguarding, wellbeing, and British values.
- Time Management: Effective time management for planning, delivery, and assessment.
