Who are we looking for from you?
- Emotional Support: Have worked within educational settings and demonstrated a child-centred and holistic approach. You will be committed to improving outcomes for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
- Qualifications: BSc or MSc in Occupational Therapy and HCPC Registration.
- Experience: Have worked in a school environment. Particularly, experience in secondary school would be an added advantage.
- Knowledge: Provide coaching, modelling and resources to support staff in embedding strategies into everyday teaching.
- Problem-Solving: Aptitude for solving problems and making effective decisions.
- Communication: Professional communication with students and staff.
- Promotion of Values: Commitment to promoting equality, diversity, safeguarding, wellbeing, and British values.
- Time Management: Effective time management for planning, delivery, and assessment.

You'll be based at Progress Arc - Billinge School which has recently been taken over by The Progress Group. Formally known as Nugent House School, this is an exciting time to join us as we embark on a new chapter in the school's journey.
Our school has a maximum student capacity of 110 and is situated across 4 buildings set within beautiful grounds and vast outdoor spaces. It includes spaces for vocational and academic learning as well as therapeutic support. We have Occupational Therapists on site, as well as colleagues who are trained to provide alternative therapies. Our strong teaching and support team are passionate about empowering our young people to achieve their unique potential, and that's just what you will help us to do. We aren't looking for professionals to just teach, but who can help to architect, motivate, empower and inspire, because we want every one of our young people to have the opportunities that they deserve.
