Description
As a Tax Manager, you will join our dynamic Tax team to support them through a busy and exciting period of growth. With a wide range of knowledge and experience that applies directly to this role, you will positively influence and guide the rest of the team while working on complex problems and assisting with advisory projects. You will be a confident communicator with the ability to build long-lasting relationships, oversee the relationships with our HNW clients from a tax perspective, and ensure compliance and procedures are adhered to.
This role supports home-based or hybrid working, with occasional travel when required (Leeds, Nottingham, Edinburgh, London, Worthing, or Exeter).
Key Responsibilities
- Providing high-quality personal tax compliance, from review to completion, for a diverse portfolio of clients.
- Regularly communicate with HMRC to ensure clients’ tax affairs are kept current.
- Build long-lasting and positive client relationships and respond to enquiries when required.
- Maintain technical knowledge and expertise to advise clients and team members about any changes in legislation or practice when required, whilst spotting opportunities to provide other services across the business.
- Manage workloads of junior team members to provide feedback and identify capabilities and training requirements.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- CTA Qualified (fully or part, essential)
- ATT Qualified (essential)
- Substantial experience in a similar previous role, dealing with personal taxation.
- Demonstrable experience preparing tax returns and managing a portfolio of personal tax clients.
- Excellent attention to detail to identify technical issues that may not be obvious or easily identified.
- Excellent working knowledge of all areas of tax compliance work.
