About the Role

We are looking for a Financial Planning Administrator (known internally as Client Executive) to join our team on a 12-month FTC. The Financial Planning Administrator is an integral member of our team in delivering outstanding client experience. Based at Progeny’s Ropewalk office in Nottingham, this role works closely with our Paraplanners and Financial Planners to manage specialised administration tasks and maintain positive client relationships. Additionally, you may assist with cases across other client segments.

The role requires someone who is detail-oriented, committed to delivering high quality work, and enjoys working with information and data. An analytical and solution-focused mindset will be beneficial as you will be taking on more technical tasks and complex queries. A supportive and willing team member, you will be passionate about providing the best service to our clients and colleagues and enjoy working in partnership with the team to ensure we deliver great outcomes.

The focus of this role is the timely provision of specialised administration services to our clients and colleagues, always adhering to best practices. You will have responsibility for:

  • Client service: helping to resolve client queries, preparing for client meetings and maintaining positive client relationships.
  • Managing documentation: ensure thorough preparation, review and management of client documentation and maintain comprehensive client files.
  • Client account management: ensure any additional client requests are completed including all client post meeting actions.
  • Process management: undertake all processes required and manage intricate tasks.
  • Completing transactions: perform trading independently such as switches, withdrawals and contributions.
  • Liaising with providers: deal with providers regarding transactions and submissions.
  • Data and system management: using platforms and systems to complete various duties ensuring data integrity and accuracy across all client records. Ensure our CRM is kept fully accurate and up to date. Manage portal activities.
  • Supporting the team: share knowledge and best practice and assist in team training and strategic projects.

Our ideal person

The role holder will have experience working in a professional environment (2+ years) preferably within financial services and possess a good understanding of financial products and FCA principles. You will be fully proficient in Microsoft Office, possess good knowledge about different provider platforms and be confident producing and analysing reports. As someone who enjoys delivering high quality, thorough work that meets the needs of our clients and colleagues, you will possess good organisational skills together with an ability to manage different priorities.

With a collaborative and supportive approach, you will be a trusted member of the team who is eager to contribute, share ideas and coach others. You will be able to work autonomously escalating where appropriate for support on more complex matters. You will be comfortable taking on new tasks and eager to develop your technical knowledge and skills. The Client Executive plays a vital role in our client proposition so a client-centric mindset and passion for delivering operational excellence is essential for this role. You will be genuinely interested in the client and providing effective and efficient support to your stakeholders.

Desirable Criteria

You may be working towards or already hold a qualification in Financial Services. Alternatively, you may be keen to start a professional qualification (i.e. CII). We will discuss the appropriateness of exam/qualification with you taking account of your interests and career aspirations.
