Our Company

We are a global education business operating primarily B2C, supporting thousands of expert tutors and tens of thousands of students worldwide.

Founded in 2015 by the Evans brothers, The Profs was built on a clear mission: to combine exceptional tutoring with innovative technology to help students achieve their personal and academic goals.

Our commitment to excellence has been widely recognised. We are Trustpilot's highest-rated tutoring company for eight consecutive years, have been named the UK's top tutoring company by Education Investor, listed among the UK's Top 100 Startups, and awarded a Department for Education innovation grant. Our founders have also received accolades including Forbes 30 Under 30 and Young Entrepreneur of the Year.

About the Role

As part of our ambitious growth strategy within the Tuition Team, we are seeking an experienced Senior Client Manager to drive sales performance, own high‑value client relationships, and help more students achieve life‑changing academic outcomes.

This is a pivotal time to join The Profs as we enter a new phase of expansion across both the Tuition Sales department and the wider business. You'll gain a front-row seat to how a fast‑paced, high‑growth organisation scales, while playing a hands‑on role in making that growth happen.

In this role, you will take full ownership of driving new business and expanding our tuition client portfolio. You'll lead a consultative, inbound‑led sales process from initial enquiry through to close, identifying client needs, recommending tailored tutoring solutions, and securing high‑value packages.

At The Profs, Client Management is a sales‑driven discipline. From the very first interaction, you will act as a trusted advisor to families and students, combining deep product knowledge with commercial acumen to maximise conversion rates, increase revenue, and build long‑term client relationships.

If you are a high‑performing sales professional who consistently exceeds targets and is looking for greater responsibility, faster progression, and clear development opportunities, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and convert inbound tuition enquiries via phone and online channels
  • Lead the full consultative sales cycle, from qualification through to close
  • Identify client needs and match them with the most suitable tutors and tuition packages
  • Secure high‑value tuition packages while maintaining a premium client experience
  • Build trusted, long‑term relationships with families, students and tutors
  • Consistently exceed individual revenue and conversion targets
  • Act as a presence within the team, supporting best practice and high performance
  • Collaborate with Operations and Leadership to refine processes and improve efficiency
  • Provide insight and feedback to support ongoing growth of the Tuition team

About You

You are:

  • Highly experienced – 2-5 years' sales experience in a B2C or B2B environment
  • A proven achiever – a consistent top performer with a track record of exceeding targets in high‑growth settings
  • An expert closer – experienced in owning the full sales cycle from lead qualification to deal close
  • Commercially sharp – confident selling premium services and articulating value
  • Innovative and proactive – experienced in refining sales processes and solving problems independently
  • A team player – motivated to support and elevate others, adapting your approach to different people
  • Highly organised – able to manage multiple leads, priorities and client relationships simultaneously
  • Educated to degree level – with at least a 2:1 in any subject

It Would Be Great If You Also:

  • Have experience working in education or a related field
  • Possess a strong understanding of the UK education system
  • Enjoy working in start‑up or scale‑up environments and understand the pace, ownership and adaptability they require
  • Have experience selling services or support‑based solutions in a B2C or B2B context

Hours

Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 9:00-17:00

Location

Hybrid role based in Canary Wharf, East London. Full‑time office attendance is required during initial onboarding, followed by a 3 days in office / 2 days WFH policy.

£35,000-£45,000 per annum (DOE, inclusive of expected OTE)
