About the Role
We are looking for Veterinary Medicine University Admissions Tutors to work on our award winning University Admissions Branch. Candidates will need to have completed a veterinary medicine degree from a competitive UK university (preferably at Oxford or Cambridge University but not necessary), have considerable success in university admissions teaching/tutoring and a strong academic background. Tutoring at The Profs takes place almost exclusively online, and so experience using online tools to facilitate a strong and engaging online lesson is necessary.
Responsibilities
- Preparing and delivering bespoke admissions packages for students applying for highly competitive undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
- Managing a portfolio of clients and regularly feeding back updates on students' progress to relevant client managers.
Qualifications
- At least a graduate degree of 2.1 or higher in veterinary medicine.
Required Skills
- Experience planning and delivering bespoke one-to-one admissions programmes.
- A thorough knowledge and understanding of the university admissions process including personal statement support, admissions test preparation and mock interview facilitation.
- Proven success assisting students with the university admissions process.
- At least 2 years of previous tutoring/teaching experience.
- Outstanding organisational and communication skills.
- High level of interpersonal skills, especially empathy and patience.
Preferred Skills
- Online tutoring experience.
