About the Role

We are looking for Oxbridge admissions tutors to work on our award winning University Admissions Branch. The ideal candidate will have attended either Oxford or Cambridge Universities, you will also have considerable admissions teaching/tutoring experience and a strong academic background. We are looking for tutors with specific expertise in supporting with the Thinking Skills Assessment (TSA), including the Test of Academic Reasoning for University Admission (TARA).

Responsibilities

  • Preparing and delivering bespoke admissions packages for students applying for highly competitive undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
  • Managing a portfolio of clients and regularly feeding back updates on students' progress to relevant client managers.

Qualifications

  • A graduate degree of 2.1 or higher.
  • Educated at either Oxford or Cambridge University.

Required Skills

  • Experience planning and delivering bespoke one-to-one admissions programmes.
  • A thorough knowledge and understanding of the Oxbridge admissions process including personal statement support, admissions test preparation and mock interview facilitation.
  • Proven success assisting students with the Oxbridge admissions process, particularly with the TSA/TARA admission test.
  • Previous tutoring or teaching experience.
  • Outstanding organisational and communication skills.
  • High level of interpersonal skills, especially empathy and patience.

Preferred Skills

  • Previous experience working internally in the admissions teams at either Oxford or Cambridge.
  • Experience of online tutoring.
  • A Masters Degree.
  • Over 2 years tutoring/teaching experience.
