About the Role

We are looking for Medicine University Admissions Tutors to work on our award winning University Admissions Branch.

Candidates will need to have completed a medicine degree from a competitive UK medical school, have considerable success in university admissions teaching/tutoring and a strong academic background.

Tutoring at The Profs takes place almost exclusively online, and so experience using online tools to facilitate a strong and engaging online lesson is necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing and delivering bespoke admissions packages for students applying for highly competitive undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
  • Managing a portfolio of clients and regularly feeding back updates on students' progress to relevant client managers.

Qualifications

  • At least a graduate degree of 2.1 or higher in medicine, ideally from Oxford or Cambridge University.
  • Required Skills
  • Experience planning and delivering bespoke one-to-one admissions programmes.
  • A thorough knowledge and understanding of the medicine admissions process including personal statement support, admissions test preparation and mock interview facilitation.
  • Proven success assisting students with the admissions process.
  • At least 2 years of previous tutoring/teaching experience.
  • Outstanding organisational and communication skills.
  • High level of interpersonal skills, especially empathy and patience.
  • Preferred Skills
  • Online tutoring experience.
  • A Masters Degree.
  • Experience supporting with medicine applications to Oxbridge.
