  • Challenge yourself with new marketing tools and AI (and how this translates into reality for business owners)
  • Experiment with new ways to get results for clients
  • Work together with a team of strategists
  • Remote work (and in person events & workshops)

Experience:

  • Proven ability to set, track, and adjust strategies based on ROI
  • Numbered ROI results that you can point to as you have delivered specific marketing results - ideally for accountants and/or bookkeepers, and at least for small business owners

  • Autonomous: Able to create marketing strategies and campaigns independently, and assist with their execution
  • Able to roll up your sleeves and create content, ads, or campaigns if needed

Bonus but not required:

  • Experience working with accountants and bookkeepers
  • Familiarity with accounting industry

Key skills:

  • Big-picture strategy view: what approach are we recommending, and why?
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities - you regularly assess market conditions, client needs, and the best path forward
  • ROI: Is the return on investment the client wants reasonable/achievable?
  • Tactics: What specific actions will help the client achieve their desired ROI?
  • Client-facing: Leading strategy for the clients you’re responsible for. You have support of the team, but the buck stops with you (and the responsibility sits with you)

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

Key attitudes:

  • Obsessed with client care: Utterly determined to connect with, listen to, and deliver for clients - no matter what it takes
  • Good judgment: Able to make the call on whether to insource or outsource; whether the client’s new idea is a good one or a distraction; identifying which to follow or not follow
  • Collaboration: Willing and able to work with the internal & external team with patience, motivation, and firmness when needed
  • Proactive problem solver: You don’t wait to be told what to do—you anticipate needs, spot gaps, and take action. You’re willing to fail if need be, so you take risks. You also fix your fails with speed and good judgment based on feedback
  • Continuous learning: You crave constructive criticism. You want to know what you can do better and actively work to fix it (with a positive mindset and a willingness to change). You love the opportunity to experiment and try again. Your identity is not threatened by failure: you use it as a jumping off point to succeed and help your clients succeed

  • Work independently as well as cooperatively with the remainder of the team and outsourcers to meet deadlines and stay within budget on simultaneous projects. Continuously review the efficiency and profitability of these systems, and provide data as required
  • Proactively examine existing processes, identify flaws, and create solutions that improve our marketing strategy, as well as the client experience. Research, test and implement new processes where relevant
