The role will report to the Post-Production Director.
ROLE OVERVIEW
We are looking for a highly organised and efficiency-driven Post-Production Assistant Manager to support our fast-paced e-commerce studio. This role ensures smooth daily workflow across high-volume image production, maintaining quality while meeting strict turnaround times. Working closely with the Post-Production Director, you’ll help manage team capacity, oversee output quality, and support the continuous optimisation of our post-production workflow. Please note: due to the nature of our business, this role is fully office-based.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the Postproduction Director in coordinating daily workloads for a high-volume e-commerce retouching team.
- Prioritise tasks based on SLAs, delivery schedules, and daily/weekly production targets.
- Assist in managing the wider retouching team, freelancers, and ensuring consistency is always met.
- Help monitor daily KPIs, including rejection rates, turnaround time, and quality metrics.
- Conduct detailed QC checks on imagery, ensuring consistency across creatives, models, lighting setups, and brand guidelines.
- Uphold strict standards for colour accuracy.
- Ensure all assets follow correct file naming, metadata, and delivery protocols for correct upload to FTP and Image DAM systems.
- Provide hands‑on retouching support when needed.
- Help troubleshoot technical issues within Adobe CC, Capture One, or the DAM system.
- Support the implementation of workflow improvements, including batch-processing, presets, templates, and automation tools.
- Work closely with Photography, Styling and Production teams to clarify retouching requirements.
- Communicate timeline risks and help manage expectations around delivery times during high-volume days.
- Ensure any feedback from Creative, Brand, or QC teams is actioned quickly and shared with the wider retouching team.
SKILLS
- Proven Retouching or Post-Production experience in a busy e-commerce or high-volume studio environment.
- Advanced skills in Adobe Photoshop and working familiarity with Capture One and Bridge.
- Strong understanding of e-commerce image standards, including skin realism, fabric texture retention, product accuracy, and on-model consistency.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with proven experience in hitting daily/weekly throughput targets.
- Ability to manage shifting priorities and work efficiently under tight deadlines.
- Experience supporting or training junior Retouchers or freelancers.
- Familiarity with image automation tools, batch workflows, or scripting.
- Experience in analysing post-production KPIs and supporting improvements.
