Head of Production
ROLE OVERVIEW
Based in our London office, you’ll join the production team to deliver stills and motion shoots in studio, on location, and abroad. You’ll help strengthen client relationships while producing projects ranging from large-scale campaigns to smaller still life shoots.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Take briefs from the Head of Production, Executive Producer, Senior Producer, or client and manage shoots confidently from start to finish.
- Responsibility for all financial aspects of a shoot, including budgeting, supplier engagement, billing, and closing projects.
- Plan, organise, and manage multiple shoots across multiple clients simultaneously, including studio, location, and overseas productions of varying scale.
- Negotiate rates and contracts with suppliers, crew, and talent while ensuring projects stay on budget.
- Coordinate all logistics, including travel, equipment, call sheets, and liaising with local production teams for both UK and overseas shoots.
- Communicate directly with clients to manage delivery schedules and keep projects running smoothly.
- Support creative decisions by suggesting photographers, directors, stylists, and other talent, and continually expand the company’s supplier roster.
- Work independently and collaboratively to achieve project objectives and contribute to overall success of individual projects and PF’s reputation.
- Any other such duties that may be required from time to time relevant to your role.
SKILLS
- Proven experience managing photo and motion shoots within a creative or production agency, both in studio and on location.
- Strong track record delivering campaigns across multiple platforms with full ownership of shoots from start to finish.
- Skilled in project budgeting, scheduling, supplier sourcing, and on-set production management.
- Ability to manage multiple projects under pressure, prioritising effectively while maintaining high standards.
- Confident client-facing skills with clear, effective communication in high-pressure situations.
- Proactive, solutions-focused mindset with strong negotiation skills and a positive, can-do attitude.
- Willingness to travel within the UK and internationally when required.
