The role will report to the Styling Manager.
As a Samples + Wardrobe Assistant, you’ll play a key role in bringing seasonal collections to life and ensuring smooth workflows across the department. This is a hands-on, studio-based role where you’ll work closely with both styling and samples teams to prepare and deliver stills content for digital and e-commerce use. You’ll act as a link between the Stylist and Samples teams, providing essential support to full-time and part-time Stylists and helping record final styled looks for our ‘Style it With’ feature. During peak times, you’ll also assist the Samples team to keep everything running efficiently. Please note: due to the nature of our business, this role is fully office-based.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own the ‘Style it With’ process, recording final styled looks and inputting them into our sample software.
- Troubleshoot sample and styling queries on an ad-hoc basis.
- Work closely with the Samples team to support the movement of samples, being available to support them during peak moments.
- Be the go-to person in maintaining an organised and efficient styling workspace.
- Track and flow samples through the Studio in collaboration with the Samples team.
- Ensure styling props and accessories are correctly prepared for each shoot.
- Liaise with Production, Casting, and Art Direction teams to ensure models and looks are shoot-ready.
- Help maintain clear organisation of studio spaces, styling rails, and wardrobe areas.
- Stay on top of fashion trends and industry references to support fresh, relevant styling ideas.
- Support M&S and the Styling teams with sourcing products from in-store and online.
SKILLS
- Fashion graduate or relevant styling, samples or on-set experience.
- Comfortable supporting high-volume fashion shoots in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Let’s Flo software is preferred, or a similar content production workflow system.
- Proficient in MS Excel, with a keen ability to manage asset trackers, sample logs.
- Knowledgeable about fashion, styling, and content production workflows.
- Organised, detail-focused, and confident, managing multiple tasks at once.
- A team player with a flexible, can-do attitude and an eye for detail.
- Comfortable being client-facing and offering support when they are on-site.
- Aware of fashion trends and how they translate to commercial styling.
- Able to take direction from multiple teams and adapt quickly on set.
