Reporting to the Assistant Accountant, this exciting opportunity has arisen within our global creative production agency for an enthusiastic individual to join our finance team as a Junior Accounts Assistant. Based between our Manchester Studios and Accounts Office, this role is ideal for someone seeking an entry-level position in finance and accounting, offering valuable hands-on experience within a dynamic and creative environment. You’ll be immersed in the world of innovative production and inspiring creative spaces while building a strong foundation for your finance career. Please note: due to the nature of our business, this role is fully office-based.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Proactively reviews and validates financial data to maintain accuracy and uphold strong data integrity standards.
  • Juggles multiple priorities and fast-moving projects, confidently ensuring high-impact tasks are completed first.
  • Drives the tracking of cost expenditures across production projects, actively chasing outstanding expenses with producers and suppliers to keep finances on track.
  • Ensures all supplier invoices are allocated with precision and seamlessly processed through third-party accounting systems.
  • Flags and communicates discrepancies swiftly to producers and the accounts team, supporting smooth and efficient financial operations.
  • Maintains up-to-date Purchase Orders for the in-house accounts team, ensuring clear and accurate financial records.
  • Delivers timely and accurate monthly credit card reconciliations, contributing to consistent, reliable financial reporting.
  • Owns the accounts inbox, managing queries with professionalism and ensuring all communications are resolved within agreed SLA timelines.

  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient typing skills and good knowledge of Microsoft 365, including Excel, with the ability to learn new accounting software.
  • Good interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
