ROLE OVERVIEW: The Creative Production Assistant at Production Factory will support the Producers who are responsible for delivering the weekly planning for e-commerce and digital shoots for the M&S team. This role requires an understanding of the workflows and timelines involved in producing high-quality brand assets, from concept to final delivery. You will be expected to assist Producers in managing weekly planning for shoots, collaborate with internal and external teams, plus support with admin tasks and physical duties around the studio. Please note: due to the nature of our business, we are based in the studio 5 days per week.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with M&S, internal teams and freelancers (art directors, stylists, samples teams, photographers, DOPs, HMUA, retouchers, editors etc.) and assist them on all tasks as directed by the production team.
- Help to manage the workflow process; from delivery of samples > product shoots > colour matching in retouch > model shoots > post-production > final delivery of assets.
- Support the samples team where necessary with the flow of samples throughout the pre-production and the shoot process.
- Support styling during shoot days and ensure samples are prepped, steamed and ready for shooting.
- Assist Producers with the creation and updates to production schedules, booking forms, call sheets and trackers as instructed.
- Assist styling teams if necessary, during prep days so that looks are complete for model shoots prior to shooting.
- Where necessary, attend weekly planning and status meetings with the Lead Creative Producer, producers and team managers to ensure all teams are aligned, and all deliverables are on track.
- Assist Producers with bookings for freelancers; models, stylists, photographers and hair & make-up artists, along with their travel, accommodation (if necessary) and catering arrangements.
- Oversee administrative tasks with guidance from Producers, including processing invoices, issuing POs, updating the financial tracker, and ensuring all necessary documents (e.g., booking forms/contracts/call sheets/travel) are in place for freelancers and models.
- Assist with on-set coordination to keep production running smoothly and on schedule to ensure shoot targets are met.
- Ensure clients, crew and models are well looked after throughout the day, with all drinks and catering, studio supplies taken care of.
- Assist with booking and delivery/collection of equipment, set builds, props and anything else that is required for shoots.
- Ensure the studio environment is kept tidy, safe, and well-managed, supporting the Head of Production, Ops & HR teams to manage health and safety policies during shoots.
- Stay up-to-date on trends and best practices in creative production, bringing fresh ideas to the team to stay ahead of the curve.
- Be available to work for blocks of days associated with the scheduled shoots to deliver the seasonal collection in time for product launch.
SKILLS:
- A passion for fashion and homeware and a desire to build a career in Creative Production.
- Some experience working in fashion and home and within a content studio environment is preferable.
- An understanding of the end-to-end creative process within a creative studio setting, with knowledge of both still life and model content.
- A strong communicator, capable of supporting cross-functional teams and aligning them on goals.
- Highly organised and detail-oriented, a proficient administrator able to review high volumes of data and maintain Excel spreadsheets.
- A confident individual with a decent level of supplier management experience within the creative industry, ideally with knowledge of creative suppliers, agents and freelance day rates.
- Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- An industry-savvy problem solver, capable of adapting to change, overcoming challenges, and finding solutions that support the successful execution of creative projects.
- A positive person with a can-do mentality, happy to take direction and roll up your sleeves to get tasks completed efficiently.
