Based in our London office, you will lead a Paraplanning and Advice Delivery Support Unit (ADSU) team, overseeing team performance, development and service delivery. This is a player-manager role, combining people leadership with a reduced level of technical and client work to support business priorities. Leadership & People
Leadership & People
- Lead, coach and develop Paraplanning and ADSU colleagues.
- Manage performance, wellbeing, development and recruitment activity.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture.
Workflow & Service Delivery
- Oversee workflow, capacity and service levels across both teams.
- Act as a key contact for Advisers and Financial Planning Executives.
- Use MI and data to monitor performance and drive improvements.
Technical & Client Support
- Maintain a reduced caseload alongside management responsibilities.
- Support report writing, advice delivery, quality reviews and complex cases.
- Ensure accurate records and effective use of Curo.
Quality & Continuous Improvement
- Promote high standards of quality, compliance and client service.
- Drive process, technology and operational improvements.
- Build strong relationships across Advice Delivery and the wider business.
- Strong Paraplanning experience with high-quality report-writing skills.
- CII Diploma in Financial Planning (minimum).
- Experience leading, coaching or mentoring others.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and organisational skills.
- Strong technical knowledge of pensions, investments and regulation.
- Able to manage competing priorities while maintaining service standards.
- Adaptable, accountable and committed to continuous improvement.
Desirable
- Previous people-management experience.
- Advanced Diploma, Chartered status or working towards it.
- Experience managing hybrid or multi-site teams.
- Knowledge of workflow systems, MI and Curo.
- Experience supporting operational change and process improvement initiatives.
