Based in our London office, you will lead a Paraplanning and Advice Delivery Support Unit (ADSU) team, overseeing team performance, development and service delivery. This is a player-manager role, combining people leadership with a reduced level of technical and client work to support business priorities.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & People

  • Lead, coach and develop Paraplanning and ADSU colleagues.

  • Manage performance, wellbeing, development and recruitment activity.

  • Foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture.

Workflow & Service Delivery

  • Oversee workflow, capacity and service levels across both teams.

  • Act as a key contact for Advisers and Financial Planning Executives.

  • Use MI and data to monitor performance and drive improvements.

Technical & Client Support

  • Maintain a reduced caseload alongside management responsibilities.

  • Support report writing, advice delivery, quality reviews and complex cases.

  • Ensure accurate records and effective use of Curo.

Quality & Continuous Improvement

  • Promote high standards of quality, compliance and client service.

  • Drive process, technology and operational improvements.

  • Build strong relationships across Advice Delivery and the wider business.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Strong Paraplanning experience with high-quality report-writing skills.

  • CII Diploma in Financial Planning (minimum).

  • Experience leading, coaching or mentoring others.

  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and organisational skills.

  • Strong technical knowledge of pensions, investments and regulation.

  • Able to manage competing priorities while maintaining service standards.

  • Adaptable, accountable and committed to continuous improvement.

Desirable

  • Previous people-management experience.

  • Advanced Diploma, Chartered status or working towards it.

  • Experience managing hybrid or multi-site teams.

  • Knowledge of workflow systems, MI and Curo.

  • Experience supporting operational change and process improvement initiatives.
