Pay Rate: £12.90 per hour.

Shift Patterns: 7:30am - 2:45pm & 2:45pm - 10pm. Weekend work is included.

Job Description: Your positive attitude and passion for providing high quality care and support will be your key strengths, but you’ll also have a friendly, patient and positive approach to work. You should be keen to learn and show compassion to care for the people we support. You will provide support with day to day activities, whilst encouraging and promoting independent living. As part of our team, you’ll help people reach their potential, through both practical and emotional support, making a positive difference to their lives. Our teams provide care and support for individuals with different conditions at Priory sites all across the UK. It would be ideal if you have previous experience gained in a similar role. However, we are looking for individuals who display the right values and behaviours in order to make a difference to people’s lives. Not only is full training provided, but there are numerous career pathways available to you, including our Nurse Apprenticeship program.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting with personal care tasks, such as washing, dressing, eating and personal care
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as dusting, vacuuming, and changing bed clothes
  • Assist with safe lifting, transferring, repositioning and movement of individuals
  • Assistance and support to attend medical appointments
  • Observe, monitor, and record physical and emotional well-being, and quickly report any changes to senior staff
  • Encouragement to participate in social and recreational activities

Additional Information: Mount View House is located in the village of Syke near Rochdale. We are in a beautiful rural setting on the edge of Whitworth Moor in the South Pennines. We offer residential support to eight autistic people. Although primarily for over 18s, we can support those who are 17 moving from children’s services. We also support autistic people that have a learning disability, or may present behaviours that challenge. Our goal is to support those we care for to create and achieve goals to meet their own expectations to lead a fulfilled and enriched life. We recognise that autistic people have the same aspirations and expectations as everyone else and should be empowered to achieve these.

Disclosure: All roles will be subject to a successful disclosure at an appropriate level from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), Access NI or Disclosure Scotland, and the cost of this will be covered by Priory. We are an equal opportunities employer.
