Overview

Leonards Croft looking to recruit a Support Worker to join their team. This is a full time role.

Pay Rate: £13.10 per hour.

Shifts: Days/Nights: 07:30 – 20:00 and 19:30 – 08:00 on a rota basis with weekends included.

Due to a genuine occupational requirement, we are only considering applicants who hold a Full UK Manual Driving Licence for this particular role.

Leonards Croft is located in Stafford. We provide residential support for eight people who are autistic or have a learning disability, or both. The service is off a busy main road, around 15 minutes from the town centre. The team at our home are committed to providing our residents with the skills needed to live an active and fulfilled life, as independently as possible.

What you\’ll be doing

You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our residents\’ wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future.

Your positive attitude and passion for providing high quality care and support will be your key strengths, but you\’ll also have a friendly, patient and positive approach to work.

As a Support Worker, you will assist qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of residents. You will provide support with day to day activities, whilst encouraging and promoting independent living. As part of our team, you’ll help people reach their potential, through both practical and emotional support, making a positive difference to their lives.

  • Supporting with personal care tasks, such as washing, dressing, eating and personal care
  • Performing light housekeeping tasks, such as dusting, vacuuming, and changing bed clothes
  • Assisting with safe lifting, transferring, repositioning and movement of individuals
  • Assistance and support to attend medical appointments
  • Observe, monitor, and record physical and emotional well-being, and quickly report any changes to senior staff
  • Supporting the development of important family connections and liaising with specialists, including Speech & Language Therapists and Learning Disability teams
  • Encouraging participation in social and recreational activities that promote involvement and personal growth
