Located right in the heart of London’s prestigious medical district, Priory Wellbeing Centre Harley Street is one of the UK’s leading outpatient treatment centres.

We are currently seeking Consultants in General Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) to join our team.

The position will offer an ability to work within a blended approach of face to face and remote appointments.

The applicant will be required to register with various private medical insurance companies for the benefit of our corporate clients.

The role of a Visiting Consultant is an exciting opportunity, offering the chance to build and manage a private outpatient practice while also contributing to our inpatient services. Harley Street Wellbeing Centre will provide administrative support to VCs to arrange timely and effective clinics. VCs do not need to generate referrals as these come from a central point. Priory supports VCs with marketing and there are opportunities to be involved in media promotion.

Role Responsibilities:

  1. Assess and treat a diverse outpatient population.
  2. Oversee the care of inpatients within your specialty.
  3. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of therapists and psychologists.
  4. Engage in quality improvement and governance activities.
  5. Expand your practice in alignment with Priory’s prestigious reputation.
  6. Network with professional colleagues and referral sources.
  7. Maintain professional development and meet Revalidation requirements.

Candidate Profile:

  1. GMC registration with relevant specialist registration.
  2. Experience in psychiatry and substance misuse.
  3. A strong understanding of Clinical Governance and regulatory frameworks.
  4. Successful completion of a DBS check, funded by Priory.
