The Hampshire Clinic is part of Circle Health Group, Britain\’s leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country.
We have an opportunity for a Porter to join their team in the Portering department.
This is a full-time role of 37.5 hours a week. The role requires covering a flexible shift pattern with 12-hour shifts, including days and nights. Typical shifts are from 7am-7pm and 7pm–7am. The hospital operates 7 days a week. There is an enhanced pay rate for unsocial hours and bank holidays.
Responsibilities
- Perform general and ad hoc tasks to meet site needs, such as moving patients, equipment, and pharmacy goods.
- Explain hospital facilities and services to patients and families when escorting them within the hospital.
- Provide courteous service to internal and external customers.
- Ensure patient comfort and dignity at all times.
- Maintain security within the hospital, including compliance with security processes and external patrols as appropriate.
- Complete all mandatory training requirements.
Candidate Requirements
- Frontline customer-facing experience.
- Experience in portering, healthcare, hotel, or hospitality settings is beneficial.
- Maths and English GCSEs at grades A-C or equivalent functional skills level 2.
- Proficiency in PC use, including software and systems.
- Full clean driving license with ability to drive both manual and automatic vehicles.
