Job Description Description \n The Lighthouse, Gloucestershire \n Full-time | 37.5 hours per week | Site based \n Salary is Β£50,000 \n \nWe're looking for an experienced Registered Manager to lead The Lighthouse, a specialist 5-bedresidential home in Stroud supporting young females aged 1318 experiencing mental health difficulties.\n \n This is an opportunity to lead a small, dedicated service where your leadership can make a genuine and lasting difference. You'll have real visibility and influence over the home's culture, your team's development and, most importantly, the outcomes and experiences of the young people we support.\n \nWe're looking for an experienced manager or an established Deputy Manager ready to take the next step, with a Level 5 qualification in Residential Childcare, Health & Social Care, or an equivalent qualification, alongside relevant residential childcare experience.\n What you'll be doing \n Operational Leadership: Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring full compliance with Ofsted regulations and the Childrens Homes Regulations 2015.\n Quality & Safeguarding: Maintain high-quality care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour support strategies while embedding robust safeguarding practices.\n Ofsted Readiness: Lead the home through regulatory inspections with a drive to achieve and sustain Good or Outstanding ratings.\Recruit, inspire, and retain a high-performing care team through active supervision, development, and strong leadership.\Build effective working partnerships with local authorities, social workers, and external multidisciplinary teams.\Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or currently working towards it). or L5 Diploma in Health & Social Care or equivalent with Residential Childcare experience.\n Experience: Proven track record at Management or strong experience at Deputy Manager level within a childrens residential care setting.\n Regulatory Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Ofsted inspection frameworks and children's safeguarding legislation.\A values-driven, resilient leader with a deep commitment to trauma-informed and therapeutic care principles.\They are integral to driving a positive high performing culture where we strive to deliver the best care and outcomes for the people we support.
