Takeresponsibility for the pastoral care of students in a particular yeargroup:
- Maintain the standards of uniform,attendance, punctuality, behaviour and discipline.
- Work proactively to improve attendanceand persistent absence in the year group.
- Liaise directly with Head of Yearregarding pastoral issues;
- Liaise with teaching colleaguesregarding pastoral issues which may affect learning;
- Act as a first point of contact forparents regarding all pastoral issues;
- Communicate with parents as necessaryto support behaviour, attendance and other issues;
- Support students who join the Academymid-term through the creation and implementation of a relevant inductionprogramme;
- Contribute to the First Aid rota forthe Academy
- Support students as above in Yeargroups other than the one designated, as an active member of thepastoral team and covering for absence of other pastoral managers.
- To provide an enrichment club once aweek.
Qualifications inGSCE English and Maths grade C or equivalent are essential
