We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and passionate Dispatch Team Leader to join our Dispatch team in Cramlington.
The Dispatch Team Leader will be required to work a 12:30pm-8:30pm shift, Monday to Friday.
Annual Salary is £29,500
Duties include the following yet others may be assigned to the needs of the business:
- Work and supervise and lead a team of dispatchers, providing guidance, training, and support
- Schedule and assign dispatch tasks to team members
- Monitor and track dispatch activities, to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any issues that may arise
- Effectively communicate with other departments to optimise dispatch operations and improve overall efficiencies
- Assist in in recruiting, training, and evaluating dispatch team members
- Implement and enforce standard operating procedures for dispatch operations
- Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction
- Help maintain a high level of safety, cleanliness and organisation around the workplace
- Comply with all company and HSE Health and Safety rules
- To abide by and support the company’s ISO 9001 QMS
- Proven experience in dispatching, logistics or a similar role
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision making skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make quick decisions
- Available to work overtime when required
- Able to work shifts if required
- Able to lift up to 25kg
