The Role

We’re looking for a friendly, high energy and professional Maitre D' to join the team at The Princess Royal. Our pubs are known for their warm, welcoming atmospheres and menus that celebrate the best of seasonal British produce. We pride ourselves on creating local destinations that blend neighbourhood charm with refined, contemporary dining.

As a Maitre D', you’ll be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their visit from the moment they arrive. You’ll manage reservations, greet guests with warmth and confidence, and work closely with the front-of-house team to ensure a smooth and memorable guest journey.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly and professionally on arrival.
• Manage reservations and seating to ensure smooth service flow.
• Create a positive first and last impression for every guest.
• Communicate effectively with the front-of-house team.
• Maintain an organised and presentable host desk and entrance area.
• Ensure guests feel looked after, informed, and valued throughout their visit.
• Uphold Cubitt House values of genuine hospitality and quality.

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience in a host or front-of-house role preferred.
• Confident, friendly, and professional communication style.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Positive attitude and ability to remain calm in a busy environment.
• A genuine passion for hospitality and guest experience.
