Urban Pubs, Bars and Restaurants are currently recruiting for a talented and highly skilled General Manager with personality & charisma for our expanding group. This is an exciting time to join a people‑focused, progressive, operations‑led business. Situated opposite Brockwell Park and a short walk from Herne Hill station, The Prince Regent is a stunning Victorian pub with an ornate exterior and a statue of its namesake. Inside, traditional wood paneling creates a cosy charm, while ample outdoor seating is perfect for sunny days. It offers a seasonal menu, local brews, fine wines, expertly crafted cocktails and a Sunday roast worth the wait.

The Role

As GM you will take full ownership of all aspects of running the venue. You will be given autonomy and run the site as if it were your own business. Being business savvy and demonstrating great commercial acumen is a must. Your team will look up to you; it is essential to train, nurture and develop your staff to maintain high standards and customer satisfaction. You have impeccable floor, bar and late‑night experience knowledge. You will be given the opportunity to train, personally develop and progress your career as the company continues to grow.

What we are looking for:

  • Wear your heart on your sleeve, take ownership, be bold and run the business as if it’s your own.
  • Be cool, calm and collected, manage pressure with ease, nothing can phase you.
  • Must have minimum 2 years’ experience as a general manager depending on the property being looked at.
  • Solid communication and organisational skills, be approachable.
  • Superb customer and floor service skills.
  • Excellent all‑round business knowledge from financials to customer satisfaction.
  • An entrepreneurial flare.
  • Passionate about people, training, mentoring, growing a team but most importantly loves to have fun.
  • Personal license holder beneficial.
