The Prince of Wales Medical Centre has an opportunity for a part-time Practice Nurse to join our team. The Practice Nurse will work with other members of the multi‑professional team, providing and monitoring the condition and health needs of patients within their care, contributing to the ongoing assessment, as agreed with supervising clinicians and in line with the service pathways.
The clinics will cover a range of nursing duties including management of long‑term conditions (Asthma, Diabetes and COPD), LD and homeless health‑checks, Cervical Screening, Sexual Health screening and Contraception, Child Health/Immunisations, Wound Management. You will be involved in Infection Prevention & Control and nursing CQC compliance. You will oversee clinical stock control and ordering with our Healthcare Assistant.
We are looking for an organised and enthusiastic person with at least 2 years post‑registration experience and a Post Registration GPN diploma or Practice Nursing Degree or equivalent. The successful candidate will be part of a well‑supported clinical team, along with excellent admin and data support staff, serving 8500+ patients in our local area.
Our training practice in Kentish Town is based in new purpose‑built premises with superb clinical areas, staff facilities and meeting rooms. We are a family‑friendly employer and can offer flexible shift patterns. The successful candidate will be joining a forward‑looking and well‑supported clinical team. We run a weekly clinical meeting for CPD, and are happy to support professional development and training opportunities.
