About the Practice

The Prince of Wales Medical Centre has an opportunity for a part‐time Practice Nurse to join our team. You will work with other members of the multi‐professional team, providing and monitoring the condition and health needs of patients within their care, contributing to the ongoing assessment, as agreed with supervising clinicians and in line with the service pathways.

Clinical Duties

  • Management of long‐term conditions (Asthma, Diabetes, COPD)
  • LD and homeless health‐checks
  • Cervical screening
  • Sexual health screening and contraception
  • Child health/immunisations
  • Wound management

Additional Responsibilities

  • Infection control & prevention and nursing CQC compliance
  • Clinical stock control and ordering with our Healthcare Assistant

Practice Environment

Our training practice in Kentish Town is based in new purpose‐built premises with superb clinical areas, staff facilities and meeting rooms. We are a family‐friendly employer and can offer flexible shift patterns.

Qualifications

We are looking for an organised and enthusiastic person with at least 2 years post‐registration experience and a Post‐Registration GPN diploma or Practice Nursing Degree or equivalent. The successful candidate will be part of a well‐supported clinical team, along with excellent admin and data support staff, serving 8,500+ patients in our local area.

Professional Development

The successful candidate will join a forward‐looking, well‐supported clinical team. We run a weekly clinical meeting for CPD and are happy to support professional development and training opportunities.
