We have an exciting opportunity to join our IT team as an IT and Digital Support Technician. At The Prince of Wales Hospice, we provide specialist palliative care in a supportive and respectful environment. Our 14‑bed inpatient unit, located just minutes from Junction 32 of the M62 in Pontefract, also offers outpatient and community services, including a successful Lymphoedema clinic.
About The Role
As IT and Digital Support Technician you will be part of the IT team, working in conjunction with our third‑party IT support provider to help deliver an effective and efficient IT service for all users.
To succeed in this role, you will:
- Have CompTIA A+ and N+ certification or an IT related Degree/Higher Diploma (or equivalent industry qualification or experience)
- Ensure IT support requests are managed and communicated effectively and timely, causing minimal disruptions to users
- Maintain and directly support hardware including desktop PC’s, laptops, tablets and mobile phones
- Contribute to the development and implementation of IT systems and solutions across the Hospice in both clinical and operational environments
- Have experience of providing application, software, hardware and mobile device support within an IT environment
- Have excellent knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and MS Office/Office 365 suite
- Have excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail and a positive professional approach
