The PRIDE Academy is a secondary special school in the London Borough of Hillingdon, dedicated to supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health needs. We provide education for pupils aged 11 to 19, offering a varied curriculum with a strong focus on practical skills and enrichment opportunities. The Pride Academy is seeking a passionate and dedicated Nurture Teacher to join our welcoming school community. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of children with additional needs, delivering tailored lessons that support and inspire every child to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities- To raise standards of student progress and achievement
- To be accountable for student progress and development within the Transition Department
- To be a role model of professionalism and good practice
- To ensure the provision of an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant, and differentiated curriculum for students in the Transition Department
- Hold a recognised full teaching qualification such as QTS or be willing to undergo teacher training in line with current regulations
- A clear understanding of the features of high‑quality teaching and learning at KS3 and 4
- Experience of working with students with social, emotional and mental health needs
- Knowledge and experience of the national curriculum in own specialist area
