Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, creative anddifferentiated Art lessons that meet the diverse academic, social and emotionalneeds of all students.
- Create a safe, nurturing and well-structuredclassroom environment that encourages self-expression, confidence and positiveengagement.
- Use assessment to monitor progress, setpersonalised targets and support students in developing their artistic skillsand creativity.
- Contribute to the development of a broad,balanced and inclusive Art curriculum, including enrichment opportunities whereappropriate.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues,pastoral teams and external professionals to support students’ wellbeing andoverall development.
Key Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent,with a qualification in Art or a related subject.
- Experience teaching Art, ideally within anSEMH, special school or alternative provision setting.
- Strong understanding of SEMH needs and theability to manage behaviour using supportive and restorative approaches.
- Ability to plan and deliver creative,adaptive lessons that engage and motivate learners of varying abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonalskills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staffand families.
