Role
Deliver and manage Premier League’s licensing programme, maintaining key licensee relationships, driving commercial performance and developing high‑quality licensed products to maximise fan engagement and revenue.
Licensee Management
- Lead day‑to‑day relationships and contract management across Premier League licence partners.
- Work with licence partners to set and track commercial objectives per season, supporting revenue growth.
- Ensure delivery of contractual rights and obligations.
- Provide regular royalty and revenue updates with insights and recommendations to senior commercial leadership.
Product & Brand
- Collaborate with licence partners and internal brand teams to shape product roadmaps, ensuring high quality, innovative outputs aligned to the brand.
- Identify potential new product categories and licensing opportunities across growth areas.
Team Management
- Day‑to‑day management of the licensing team, ensuring effective delivery of product approvals and partner management.
- Support licensing managers to achieve objectives aligned with business goals.
- Manage relationships with external agencies, consultants, and budget for licensing team.
- Stakeholder management across licencees, clubs, internal teams for licensing matters.
Requirements
- Substantial experience in licensing, partnerships, sponsorship, or commercial account management, ideally within sports or related sector.
- Proven ability to manage day‑to‑day relationships with external partners, licence partners, agencies or suppliers.
- Experience line‑managing and developing team members.
- Strong understanding of contractual rights delivery, managing obligations, approvals, performance measures.
- Commercially aware; experience tracking performance, analysing revenue or royalty data, and using insight to make recommendations.
- Experience supporting or delivering product, brand, licensing or partner activation projects focused on quality and engagement.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, building trusted relationships across internal teams, clubs, partners and agencies.
- Strong organisational and project management skills, managing multiple workstreams, prioritising and meeting deadlines.
- Communicator with strong written and verbal skills, preparing clear updates, reports and recommendations for senior stakeholders.
- Collaborative team player, supporting and guiding colleagues across functions.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and relevant systems or databases for partner information, approvals, reporting and performance tracking.
