The Senior Manager, Media Sales is a key supporting role within the Premier League’s Media Rights team, helping to drive the sales process and development of the League’s media rights business internationally. Working closely with the Director of Media Sales and regional Heads of Media Sales, the role will support rights sales activity, partner management, market intelligence, and internal coordination across our international territories. The role is intended to strengthen the media sales team’s ability to manage both existing partner relationships and future sales opportunities, while bringing greater structure, coordination and follow-through to the sales process across multiple territories.
This role is designed to add meaningful commercial capacity to the media sales team by supporting market analysis, sales preparation, partner engagement, internal reporting, and the day-to-day progression of rights discussions and international initiatives. It will help ensure the team is better placed to identify and develop new opportunities, maintain high standards of partner management, and respond effectively to the increasing complexity of the media landscape. The role will suit someone who is highly organised, commercially curious, proactive and keen to develop a career in international sports media and rights sales.

The role
- Media Rights Sales Support
- Support the Premier League’s Media division, including the Director of Media Sales, in the development and execution of the Premier League’s media rights sales strategy across selected international territories.
- Assist in identifying, assessing and progressing new media rights opportunities across broadcast, digital and platform partners.
- Prepare market overviews, sales materials, commercial proposals, benchmarking analysis and internal briefing documents to support ongoing sales processes.
- Contribute to the Premier League’s international media rights sales strategy and its execution.
- Help maintain a strong understanding of the sports media landscape, including rights holders, platforms, market trends and competitor activity.
- Support the preparation and coordination of sales processes, including outreach materials, meeting agenda and notes, follow-up actions and pipeline tracking.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of media rights agreements and contractual deliverables.
- Partner Management and Commercial Coordination
- Support the day-to-day management of selected broadcaster relationships.
- Work with Clubs, colleagues and PL Studios (launching June 2026) to ensure that rights holders have access to a ‘best in class’ service and one commensurate with the Premier League’s standing as a premium rights holder.
- Help ensure partners receive a responsive, professional and solutions-oriented experience in their interactions with the Premier League.
- Act as the Broadcasting department contact for market specific requests or issues from commercial partners, sponsors and international development initiatives.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to respond to partner requests, commercial queries and market-specific issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Market Intelligence, Planning and Reporting
- Monitor and report on key developments across international media markets, including rights movements, strategic platform activity, macro trends and emerging opportunities.
- Maintain internal records relating to rights cycles, deal status, pipeline opportunities, partner priorities and market intelligence.
- Contribute to regular reporting and planning processes, including status reports, sales updates, market summaries and executive briefing materials.
- Help capture learnings and insights from partner interactions and sales activity to improve planning and decision-making.
- Contribute to the content and product development of the Premier League’s international production offering.
- Cross-Functional Support
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across Media Rights, Premier League Studios, Legal, Finance, Communications, Commercial, Digital, International Events and other relevant teams.
- Assist Clubs in the activation of their media rights or sponsorship/partnership programme internationally and manage any associated communication with Premier League rights holders.
- Assist with the planning and delivery of partner meetings, workshops, conferences, market visits and other engagements as required.
- Provide broader operational and administrative support to the media sales team where needed, helping to ensure strong execution and follow-through.
Requirements for the role
- Experience in media, sport, broadcasting, commercial partnerships, account management, rights sales or a related field.
- Knowledge of international media markets.
- Strong interest in sports media, media rights and the evolving broadcast and digital platform landscape.
- Commercially aware, numerate and comfortable working with presentations, spreadsheets and sales documentation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, professional and well-structured materials.
- Understanding of AI platforms and the ability to apply them within commercial functions to drive efficiency, productivity, and improved decision-making.
- Able to manage multiple workstreams and stakeholders across different markets and time zones.
- Proactive, dependable, and keen to learn in a fast-paced international environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the confidence to build effective working relationships internally and externally.
- Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
