A great opportunity now exists to join the Premier League as a Senior Business Development Manager with a key focus on the Premier League central commercial programme and engaging with leading global brands to share the Premier League proposition with them.
Reporting into the Head of Business Development, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the development of the Premier League's central commercial proposition so that the Premier League continues to represent an outstanding partnership prospect for leading international businesses. The Senior Business Development Manager will be responsible for engaging and building a network of commercial contacts around the world and ensuring that the Premier League's central commercial proposition is designed to deliver rights and assets that offer material value to potential partners. They will work with colleagues across the business to build bespoke rights packages to suit Partner needs.
A suitable candidate will have a track record of both developing rights packages and engaging with brands, delivering successful partnerships with major global brands. They will exhibit both imagination and commercial expertise, have outstanding interpersonal skills and ingenuity, and a reputation for being good to work with either as a colleague or as a counterparty.
The Senior Business Development Manager will also support the Head of Business Development in considering and analysing other commercial opportunities beyond the central Partnership programme, for example building the Premier League's central e-Commerce strategy.

The role
- Support the Head of Business Development to develop the positioning, content and communication of the Premier League's commercial proposition.
- Take the Premier League proposition to market, engaging directly with senior decision-makers at leading global brands in order to develop the best opportunities.
- Work collaboratively across the Premier League business to prepare tailored sales collateral to deliver against prospects objectives.
- Work collaboratively with other commercial colleagues, particularly the research and insight function, to both inform and understand the appeal of the Premier League.
- Work closely with the Broadcast team to understand opportunities to integrate commercial partners into Premier League broadcast relationships.
- Work closely with the Digital Marketing team to build tailored digital rights to deliver against Partner objectives.
- Work closely with the Partnerships team to ensure best in class activation for any new partners, and developing relationships with existing partners to inform renewals processes.
- Support the Head of Business Development develop the Premier League's central e-Commerce strategy.
- Support the Head of Business Development consider wider commercial opportunities beyond the central Partnership programme.
- At all times represent the Premier League as one of the world's leading examples of top quality, international and inclusive entertainment.
Requirements for the role
- Strong track record of independently delivering commercial partnerships with global brands.
- Experience of building a strategy to take commercial rights packages to market.
- A strong communicator, and an excellent relationship builder.
- A strong network of contacts across the sponsorship industry.
- A demonstrable understanding of why the Premier League continues to appeal to fans and viewers around the world.
- Highly motivated team player who values and understands the importance of collaboration.
- Good IT skills, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Knowledge of digital media and associated applications.
