We are looking for an ambitious and personable Business Development Executive to help grow our presence within grassroots sport.

The Opportunity

This role will focus on developing relationships with grassroots sports clubs and organisations across the region, introducing them to The PP Group and helping them improve the way they purchase, manage and distribute their teamwear.

You will identify new opportunities, speak with club officials and decision-makers, attend meetings and events, prepare proposals, and support new customers through the process of joining The PP Group.

The position could suit someone looking to begin a career in sales, sport or teamwear. Full product, systems and sales training will be provided.

Alternatively, the role can be adapted for an experienced sales professional with an existing understanding of grassroots sport, teamwear or account development.

Responsibilities, package and seniority will reflect the experience of the successful candidate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and approach grassroots sports clubs, schools, academies and community organisations.
  • Build relationships with club chairpeople, coaches, kit managers, volunteers and other decision-makers.
  • Arrange and attend introductory meetings, presentations and product demonstrations.
  • Understand each organisation’s requirements and recommend appropriate teamwear, online shop and fulfilment solutions.
  • Prepare quotations, proposals and commercial agreements.
  • Manage opportunities from initial contact through to account launch.
  • Work closely with our internal sales, customer service, design, production and operations teams.
  • Attend club events, tournaments, exhibitions and networking opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate sales records and manage a structured pipeline of prospective customers.
  • Support the long‑term development of newly acquired accounts.
  • Represent The PP Group professionally and positively within the grassroots sports community.

  • Holds a full UK driving licence and is comfortable travelling to meetings and events.
  • For a more experienced appointment, we would also welcome applicants with:
  • A proven track record in business development, teamwear, sportswear or B2B sales.
  • Existing relationships within grassroots sport.
  • Experience managing a sales pipeline and negotiating commercial agreements.
  • The ability to develop larger or more strategically important accounts.
  • A strong understanding of the requirements and challenges faced by grassroots sports clubs.

What We Offer

  • A competitive basic salary based on experience.
  • An achievable commission or performance‑related bonus structure.
  • Full training across our products, brands, systems and services.
  • The opportunity to develop a career within the sportswear and teamwear industry.
  • Support from an experienced commercial, operational and production team.
  • The opportunity to work with clubs and organisations across multiple sports.
  • A role that can develop in seniority and responsibility as the successful candidate progresses.

Why Join The PP Group?

Grassroots sport is built on strong relationships, reliable service and people who understand the pressures faced by clubs and volunteers.

This is an opportunity to join an established business with in‑house production capabilities, strong operational support and the infrastructure to deliver a complete teamwear solution.

You will have the freedom to develop new relationships while being supported by a wider team that can deliver everything from garment design and decoration to online club shops and account management.
