The Role: The Account Manager will be responsible for managing a portfolio of existing customers, ensuring they receive excellent service, accurate support and a smooth ordering experience. Alongside this, the role will focus on developing new business opportunities, particularly with mid-size sports clubs and education-sector organisations. This is a varied role suited to someone who enjoys building relationships, solving problems and working closely with internal teams to deliver for customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop relationships with a portfolio of existing customers.
  • Support customers with ordering, product queries, sizing, availability, delivery updates and general account enquiries.
  • Act as a key point of contact for clubs, schools and organisations, ensuring a professional and responsive service.
  • Identify and convert new business opportunities, with a particular focus on mid-size sports clubs and the education sector.
  • Build a pipeline of prospective customers through outreach, referrals, networking and follow-up activity.
  • Prepare quotes, product recommendations and proposals for customers.
  • Work closely with internal teams across supplier ordering, customer service, goods in/out and production to help ensure orders are delivered accurately and on time.
  • Support customers with club shop setup, product ranges and seasonal kit requirements where required.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, order information and sales activity.
  • Represent The PP Group and Macron Sports Hub North Midlands in a professional and positive manner.

About You:

You will be confident speaking with customers, well organised and comfortable managing multiple accounts and enquiries at once. You should be commercially aware, service-driven and able to spot opportunities to grow accounts and win new business.

Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience in account management, sales, customer service or business development.
  • Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
  • Confidence dealing with customers by phone, email and in person.
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • A proactive approach to identifying and developing new business.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with different internal departments.
  • Interest in sport, teamwear, education or branded apparel would be advantageous.
  • Experience working with clubs, schools or sports organisations would be beneficial but is not essential.
  • Full UK driving licence.
