We are looking for a Deputy Events Manager to join our team at The Post Barn. As part of the team, you will be working under the guidance of the Venue Operations Manager and Event Venue Director to champion and deliver high-quality Weddings and Events at The Post Barn. The successful candidate will be fully immersed in the operational side of the business and be required to look after the venue and the team on a daily basis, as well as run event days to the highest standards expected and continually strive to improve guest and team satisfaction.

As a Deputy Events Manager, you will be fully operational and will help direct the team through event days and interact with guests to ensure they have the best possible events experience. One of the main focuses is to ensure all security measures are followed and licensing standards set by law are met, as well as being the manager on duty for guest enquiries on the day.

Job Role:

What the successful Deputy Events Manager will be doing as part of the team:

  • Oversee bar and event team members' performance to ensure activities on a daily basis, as well as event days, run smoothly and help deliver a positive experience for our guests hand in hand with the Operations team and Sales team.
  • Maintain an ordered and efficient work environment, including organization of storage at The Post and Snelsmore House and processes to maintain the work environment.
  • Train F&B team to the standards required at both properties.
  • Be fully aware and comply with all Fire, Health and Safety and Hygiene regulations as well as licensing regulations as required by law.
  • Handle money and cash up tills as well as programming tills as needed.
  • Manage cellar, stock management and ordering stock, following stock take and delivery procedures as well as improving existing procedures.
  • Support the Operations Management with administrative duties including creating and implementing procedures, SOPs and SOEs for The Post.
  • Fulfill the role of Duty Manager on the day and handle guest queries in a swift and satisfactory manner.
  • Any other reasonable tasks as requested.
