Summary: The role serves as support to the London-based EMEA Legal team.

You will work closely with various internal stakeholders including members of the legal team and business partners.

  • What you’ll do
  • Support the London based EMEA Legal team with matters relating to marketing, licensing, ecommerce, sales, IT, Organised Play and operations.
  • Assist with the review, approval and clearance of The Pokémon Company International marketing and promotional materials including, email, print, TV and online campaigns.
  • Draft, review and negotiate vendor agreements such as master services agreements, SOWs, influencer agreements and marketing activations (with supervision).
  • Support data protection compliance, including reviewing data processing and privacy terms in vendor and marketing arrangements.
  • Support process improvement across the legal function - creating templates, checklists and precedent banks, and proposing efficiencies to existing workflows.
  • Perform legal research on advertising, consumer, regulatory and other legal topics.
  • Ad hoc tasks to support the Legal team.
  • What you’ll bring
  • One (1) to Two (2) years of paralegal work experience, ideally within the media/entertainment industry.
  • Completed a law degree (or equivalent) and obtained practical experience in an in-house or private practice legal team. LPC or SQE completion is desirable.
  • Familiarity with the legal and regulatory issues relevant to marketing, data, IP and contracting.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under time pressure.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Highly organised, comfortable with multi-tasking and prioritising a varied workload.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, and to exercise discretion and good judgment.
  • Fluency in English required, additional European languages desirable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Base Salary Range

For this role, new hires generally start between £35,000.00 - £43,500.00 per year.

The full range is £35,000.00 - £57,400.00 per year.

This range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired.

The final base salary is directly related to the candidate’s qualifications and professional experience uniquely.
