The Pokémon Company International manages the Pokémon property outside of Asia and is responsible for brand management, licensing and marketing, the Pokémon Trading Card Game, the animated TV series, home entertainment, and the official Pokémon website. Pokémon was launched in Japan in 1996 and today is one of the most popular children’s entertainment properties in the world.

Job Summary: The TCG Press Channel Distribution Manager will be responsible for optimising the press channel distribution and driving TCG sales across EMEA. This role will be accountable for maximising sales performance with existing distribution and retail partners. In partnership with the Senior Sales Manager, the TCG Press Channel Distribution Manager will also develop new markets and customer relationships across EMEA. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate strong relationship building skills paired with sharp analytical and operational skills.

What you’ll do:

  • Work closely with the Senior Sales Manager to create and execute the channel development strategy and plans across EMEA markets.
  • Manage the commercial relationship with press channel distributors and wholesalers and continually monitor, evaluate and feedback on their distribution performance.
  • Optimise TCG distribution, availability and visibility across EMEA press channels.
  • Create and monitor distribution plans and oversee the launch of new TCG expansions.
  • Collaborate with the International TCG Sales team and other internal teams to ensure market and customer needs are met.
  • Develop close commercial relationships with key retail groups in the press channel across EMEA to grow the presence of Pokémon TCG and achieve sales and availability targets.
  • Account Management of all other aspects of the relationship with distributors and key retail partners (Finance, Marketing, Logistics, Legal).

What you’ll bring:

  • 8+ years of international sales/business development experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or a demonstrated equivalent level of applicable experience.
  • Strong understanding of the press/newstrade/convenience channel.
  • Trading Card Game/Collectibles/Toys experience a plus.
  • Strong account management and relationship building skills.
  • Proven track record of negotiating and closing deals with high profile partners.
  • Comfortable with data and spreadsheets and strong analytical skills.
  • Highly self-motivated.
  • Ability to travel throughout Europe and multi-task whilst dealing with different time zones.
  • Fluent English speaker, additional European languages are a plus.
  • Excellent presentation, communication and reporting skills.

Base Salary Range: For this role, new hires generally start between £68,062.00 - £90,559.00 per year. The full range is £68,062.00 - £122,588.00 per year. This range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. The final base salary is directly related to the candidate’s qualifications and professional experience uniquely.
