The Pointer School is an Independent prep and pre‑prep in Blackheath, South East London. We are seeking an inspirational, dedicated, and enthusiastic sports graduate to join our thriving PE department which delivers outstanding sports and games lessons to all children in the school aged 3 to 11.
Responsibilities:
- Coaching and supervising pupils during playtimes.
- Assisting the Head of Sport to deliver curriculum PE lessons.
- Leading co‑curricular clubs.
- Delivering sports and games lessons to children aged 3 to 11.
- Coaching experience in at least two sports.
Qualifications:
- Passion for working with young children and commitment to the school ethos.
- Coaching experience in at least two sports.
- Sports Science, sports‑related degree, BTEC Sport or equivalent.
- Recent graduate or considering a career in sport or teaching.
Contract and Salary:
This position is from September 2026 and is a one‑year fixed contract to end in July 2027 (with the possibility to extend). Normal working hours are 09:45 to 17:15 Monday to Friday, during term time only. The Pointer School is a Real Living Wage employer; the annual salary for this role is £20‑23k depending on experience and qualifications.

You must have the right to work in the UK, hold or be willing to obtain a valid DBS and be at least 18 years old.
