Our friendly team are seeking a motivated and experienced Kitchen Manager to oversee the daily operations of our growing culinary establishment. The Kitchen Manager will play a vital role in maintaining high-quality food production, ensuring food safety standards are maintained while fostering a positive team atmosphere.
Duties
- Food preparation and cooking processes to ensure consistency, quality, and presentation meet company standards
- Develop and implement specials incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards across all kitchen operations
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock to minimise waste and control costs
- Train new staff members on food preparation techniques, safety procedures, and customer service expectations
- Coordinate with front-of-house team to ensure seamless service delivery and guest satisfaction
- Enforce health & safety policies within the kitchen environment to prevent accidents or violations
- Organise staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours while maintaining work-life balance for team members
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience within a busy kitchen or restaurant environment
- Strong background in food production, culinary techniques, and food safety regulations
- Knowledge of restaurant operations, serving protocols, and customer service standards
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure
- Previous experience in food management roles preferred but not essential; relevant culinary qualifications are advantageous
