We supply high-quality plumbing products to plumbing merchants and builders' merchants across the UK.

Due to ongoing expansion, we are seeking an ambitious and commercially driven Sales Account Executive to join our Chelmsford headquarters. You will be responsible for developing existing customer relationships, increasing account performance, reactivating dormant accounts, and securing new business opportunities. This is a proactive sales role focused on account growth, customer retention, and achieving measurable commercial results.

Working closely with customers and internal departments, you will become a trusted point of contact while contributing directly to company sales objectives:

  • Achieve monthly sales, revenue, and account growth targets.
  • Handle enquiries via telephone, email, Whats App, and customer portal.
  • Increase customer spend through upselling, cross-selling, and product promotion.
  • Manage the sales process from enquiry through to order completion.
  • Identify and secure new merchant accounts across the UK.
  • Work closely with Operations, Purchasing, Logistics, and Management teams.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and provide regular account and pipeline reporting.

Performance Expectations:

  • Success in this role is driven by consistent customer engagement and proactive account management.
  • Maintaining regular contact with assigned accounts.
  • Consistent outbound sales activity throughout the month.
  • Contacting all active accounts at least once every 30 days.
  • Maintaining accurate CRM records and a structured sales pipeline.
  • Typical activity levels include 50-70 customer conversations per day alongside ownership of a structured monthly account contact programme.

Performance will be measured through sales revenue, gross profit growth, account development, customer retention, new account acquisition, and achievement of agreed activity targets.

We are seeking a highly motivated sales professional with a proven track record in a B2B sales environment. You may have experience in internal sales, account management, business development, or telesales. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, a professional telephone manner, commercial awareness, and a results-focused approach are essential. Strong organisational and time-management skills, along with experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office, are also required.
