A leading PR and communications agency is looking for an experienced PR Account Director to join its growing team, working across a varied portfolio of corporate and financial communications clients.

This is a senior, client facing role for an ambitious PR professional who enjoys operating at a strategic level, building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and delivering high-impact communications campaigns.

The Role

As PR Account Director, you will take ownership of key client relationships and lead integrated corporate and financial communications programmes. You will act as a senior strategic adviser to clients while working closely with the wider agency team to deliver creative, commercially focused campaigns.

You will be responsible for:

• Leading and developing a portfolio of corporate and financial communications accounts

• Building strong, long-term relationships with senior client stakeholders

• Developing and delivering strategic PR and communications campaigns

• Providing senior counsel and strategic communications advice

• Leading media relations, thought leadership and corporate communications programmes

• Identifying opportunities to grow existing accounts and generate new business

• Leading pitches, proposals and new business activity

• Managing and mentoring Account Managers, Executives and wider account teams

• Overseeing campaign delivery, budgets, timelines and client reporting

• Developing compelling content and communications strategies

• Keeping ahead of developments across business, finance, politics, media and the wider corporate landscape

About You

We are looking for an experienced agency PR professional who is comfortable operating at a senior level and has a strong interest in corporate and financial communications.

You will ideally have:

• Proven experience at Account Director or strong Senior Account Manager level

• Excellent agency-side PR and communications experience

• Experience across corporate communications, financial PR or professional services

• Strong strategic thinking and communications skills

• Excellent knowledge of the UK media landscape

• Confidence advising and influencing senior stakeholders

• Experience managing, mentoring and developing junior team members

• Commercial awareness with the ability to identify account growth opportunities

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

• A proactive, ambitious and collaborative approach
