Deputy Manager in Great Bentley

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and ensure excellent customer service.
• Support and supervise front‑of‑house and bar staff.
• Ensure compliance with licensing, health & safety, and hygiene regulations.
• Handle customer complaints or concerns professionally and efficiently.
• Maintain stock levels and place orders as required.
• Assist with cash handling and end‑of‑day banking procedures.
• Train and onboard new staff members.
• Help create a welcoming, positive environment for both staff and customers.
• Step in for the General Manager as needed.
• Opening and closing the Pub.

You’ll be responsible for taking orders, serving excellent quality food and a great range of drinks. You’ll lead the team on shift to create a friendly, buzzing atmosphere our guests will enjoy. You’ll ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, compliance with licensing law and money handling procedures.

Job Type: Full‑time (48 hours) • Salary: £32,000.00 – £34,000.00 per annum plus tips

Requirements

• Supervising – 1 year (preferred)
• Restaurant management – 1 year (preferred)
• Bar management – 1 year (preferred)
• Hospitality – 1 year (preferred)
• Customer service – 1 year (preferred)
• Management – 1 year (preferred)
