We are seeking a compassionate and motivated ABA Tutor to join a supportive team working up to twelve hours, one to one with an autistic child near Fleet, Hampshire. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference to a young child's development while gaining valuable hands‑on experience in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA). Working under the supervision of a certified Behaviour Analyst, you will help deliver an individualised home‑based programme focused on communication, learning, social interaction and positive behaviour support. Full theoretical and practical training will be provided, with opportunities to work towards Registered Behaviour Technician (RBT) certification. This position is self‑employed and ideal for candidates interested in autism support, psychology, education, speech and language development or behavioural therapy.
Responsibilities include:
- Implementing teaching programmes
- Collecting and recording data
- Monitoring progress in communication, social interaction, daily living, and academic readiness skills
- Collaborating closely with Board Certified Behaviour Analysts (BCBAs), teachers, therapists, and families to ensure consistent strategies across environments
- Preparing session materials
- Participating in team meetings and training
- Maintaining safeguarding and confidentiality standards

Qualifications:
- Experience working directly with children, ideally with autistic children or those with additional learning needs, in educational, clinical, or community settings
- Foundational understanding of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), Early Intensive Behavioural Intervention, or other evidence-based intervention approaches for autism (training can be provided for the right candidate)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting, respectful relationships with children, families, and professionals
- Ability to follow structured programmes, record accurate data, and use feedback to refine teaching and behaviour‑support strategies
- High level of patience, empathy, resilience, and emotional maturity when supporting children who may display distressed or challenging behaviour
- Organisational and time‑management skills, including reliability in attending scheduled sessions and meeting documentation requirements
- Commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion, with willingness to follow all safeguarding and confidentiality policies
Desirable: prior ABA tutoring or teaching assistant experience, relevant training or certification in autism or behaviour support, and a recognised qualification in psychology, education, child development, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Ability to work on‑site near Fleet.
