Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee a portfolio of client accounts ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards.
- Develop strong relationships with clients, addressing their financial queries and providing tailored advice.
- Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes and improve client service.
- Mentor and train junior staff members, fostering a collaborative learning environment.
Requirements
- Part-Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) (Qualified AAT).
- At least 2 years of experience in dealing with a client base.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations.
- Exceptional analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong client relationships.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Able to work in the UK without sponsorship.
Desirable
- Fully qualified (ACA / ACCA).
- A strong background in client management – client portfolios ranging from sole traders to SMEs.
- Experience of managing/mentoring/training junior accountants (desirable but not a necessity).
- Ideally able to work in office 5 days a week.
