Brilliant opportunity for a Financial Controller to join an established and scaling SME in Leigh. This role is the first hire into the business in finance, as they have always relied upon external accounting but now require someone day to day to keep up with growth.
You will report to the Commercial Director and Managing Director and be tasked with implementing full financial controls and creating a detailed month end pack with a huge emphasis on commercial accounting. The Directors are excited by receiving real time information and working closely with the Financial Controller to achieve projected growth.
Highly profitable with a current turnover of £5m, this is expected to double in the next financial year, making it the perfect time to appoint. The business is looking for a qualified accountant well versed in commercial accounting in an SME setting who will lead by example, support growth, and have a relentless approach to financial accuracy.
Based in Leigh, the business is service based with multiple projects running across the UK at any one time, so there is a degree of complexity to the accounting with work in progress and billing control paramount. From creation of budgets and forecasting through to automation of the ledger processes, this is a brilliant role to take ownership of and grow to a more senior status.
